Fluoride is the single most important ingredient in toothpaste. It strengthens tooth enamel and makes it more resistant to acids from bacteria and food.

Do you need extra fluoride?

Some people have a higher risk of cavities, for example with dry mouth, frequent sugary snacks, or exposed tooth necks. Extra protection can then help, for example a fluoride treatment with a dental hygienist or a fluoride product at home.
