Professional teeth cleaning

1. Conversation and assessment. We go through your health, any medication and your wishes or concerns. I examine teeth, gums and mucous membranes and assess the amount of plaque and tartar and how the gums are doing.

2. Cleaning. I remove plaque, deposits and tartar above and just below the gum line with ultrasonic and hand instruments. The spaces between the teeth are cleaned too.

3. Polishing. The tooth surfaces are polished so they feel smooth and new deposits stick less. Surface stains are removed as far as possible.

4. Review and advice. I show you what I found, go through brushing technique and cleaning between the teeth and give advice tailored to you. Together we decide how often you need to come. If further treatment is needed you receive a cost estimate before we go on.
